Convert step by step
Open PDF to JPG and select the PDF. All pages are selected by default; click pages to deselect the ones you don’t need, or Shift-click to select a range. Choosing the resolution
Screen (96 DPI) makes small files for quick previews. Standard (150 DPI) is right for most forms and for sharing — text is readable and an A4 page is usually a few hundred kilobytes. Print (300 DPI) keeps small print and stamps sharp, at a larger file size.
If a form has a size limit such as 200 KB per image, start with Standard and a JPG quality around 80%; lower the quality slider if it is still too big.
JPG or PNG?
JPG is best for scanned documents and pages with photos; files are small. PNG is lossless — text edges stay perfectly crisp — which suits diagrams, screenshots and documents with small print, at the cost of larger files.
Extract the photos inside a PDF instead
If you only need the pictures embedded in a PDF — product photos in a catalogue, a passport photo inside a form — choose Extract images. The tool saves each embedded image at its original resolution, without the rest of the page.
Sharing on WhatsApp
WhatsApp compresses images sent as photos. For documents that must stay readable, send the JPG as a document (attach → Document) so it isn’t recompressed, or send the original PDF.
