Extract one page step by step

Open Split PDF and select your file. After a moment you will see a thumbnail of every page.

Choose the “Pick pages” mode and click the page you want — it gets a red tick. Make sure “Extract” is selected (it keeps only the selected pages), then press the Extract button. A new PDF containing just that page downloads immediately, named after the original with the page number added.

Clicking a thumbnail’s magnifier opens a large preview, which is handy for telling apart similar-looking pages in a scanned bundle.

Extract several pages at once

Click each page you need, or click the first page and Shift-click the last to select a run. The Selected pages box shows your choice as ranges such as 3-5, 9, and you can also type into it directly.

By default the selected pages go into one new PDF, in page order. If you want each page as its own file — for example, one certificate per upload box — switch on “Save each page as a separate PDF”. You get a ZIP containing one PDF per page.

Why extracting beats “Print to PDF”

Printing a page to PDF re-draws it through the print system. Fonts may be substituted, links disappear and scanned images can be re-compressed. Split PDF copies the page object itself — with its fonts, images and annotations — into a new file, so the extracted page is identical to the original.

Removing pages instead of keeping them
