Is PDF Swing really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark on your files and no daily task limits. We may add optional extras in future, but nothing that is free today will be moved behind a paywall without notice.

Are my files safe?

Seventeen of our tools — including merge, split, compress, sign, redact, unlock and OCR — run entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. Office conversions, HTML to PDF and password protection need our server: those files travel over HTTPS, are processed immediately and are deleted as soon as the result is sent back.

Do I need to install anything?

No. PDF Swing works in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone. There is nothing to download or install.

What is the maximum file size?

Tools that work on this page handle files up to about 200 MB; very large files take longer, especially on phones. Server conversions accept files up to 100 MB each.

Can I use PDF Swing on my phone?

Yes. Every tool is designed for touch screens: pick a file from your phone, rearrange pages with a long-press, sign with your finger and download the result straight to your device.

Can I reduce a PDF to 100 KB or 200 KB for exam forms?

Yes. Open Compress PDF, choose “Target size” and enter the size the portal asks for, such as 100 KB. Our guide on compressing PDFs for SSC, UPSC and IBPS forms walks through it step by step.
